My son (7 months) loves apples but we are too affraid that a piece will get stuck in his throat. I wish there was a way he could eat his apple safely.

how about this, you just put a little bit of apple in the net and your baby can suck it safely. Unfortunately you can only buy it in the US I believe.

Babies from 7 months CAN eat apples! The thing is, when babies are very small they have a very strong "puke" reflex. so, when the bits of apple in the mouth go to far to back of the mouth, the baby will start to make throwing up movements. so he will remove the bits by himself. it is not very appetizing to look at but completely natural.

if you start early (from 7 months onwards) offering "real" food to your baby, he will learn quickly how to eat them.

more information: search for Gill Rapley, she wrote articles about this method.
